One year ago

Today marks one year since Cindy’s accident and its hard to believe. We are so proud of how far she has come and will continue to go in the coming months. So on this happy day, we would like to thank everyone who has supported us this past year, we could not have done it without you.

We love you Cindy.

Summer!!

This summer the boys are visiting with mom a lot.  They’ve been here since last weekend and they’ll be back in a few weeks.  We’ve been having lots of fun.  Last weekend, Jacob and Lauren came to Fort Worth and we all went to a local water park called NRH20.  It was hot but fun.  Last week, we’ve gone up to the rehab to have lunch with mom almost everyday.  On Tuesday the boys made her lunch and took it up there.  On Wednesday, we took mom out for dinner at Chipotle and then dessert at Marble Slab.  Yesterday she had a day off from therapy, so we had a fun-filled family day.  Thomas and I went to get mom in the morning.  On the way to my house, we stopped at Lowe’s to get some potting soil and pots.  Mom has been talking for weeks about planting some seeds she has been collecting from plants around her apartment.  Then, Alex, Daniel, mom and I got pedicures.  It was so fun to see Alex and Daniel get their little feet rubbed.  Daniel said, “I need to get this done everyday!”  When we got home, we played Uno while Dustin cooked brautwurst.  After dinner, we went to a firework show in Southlake.  Overall, it was a great day and the boys are really enjoying visiting with mom.

Mom’s therapies have been going very well.  In no time, she’ll be up and walking.  Here she is putting together a puzzle with her physical therapist.
By the way, the neck brace comes off next Wednesday, yeah!!!

Boys in Fort Worth

This weekend the boys came to FW to visit mom.  They stayed at my house and I went to get mom first thing Saturday morning.  The boys were so excited to be woken up by their mom, not to mention mom was pretty excited too.  We had breakfast together for the first time in, well, too long.  Afterwards we went to a place called Incredible Pizza, somewhat like Dave and Busters.  Mom got to hold Aubri (she pooped on grama) and we played the games and rode the rides.  On Sunday we went out to celebrate Daniel’s birthday at our favorite mexican food place, El Frescos.  It was great to hang out as a family.

They’ll be back to celebrate Mother’s Day.

Thanks for the continued prayers,

Jessi
